Our location in Lake county, IL currently has an opportunity for a Lead IAM consultant to work within Abbott’s global Business Technology Services organization. As a Lead IAM consultant , you will be the primary evangelist and critical thought leader of Abbott’s Identity & Access Management / Access Governance strategy. You will be responsible to plan and oversee current IAM Access Governance programs and projects to ensure they are successfully executed and align/support Abbott’s Identity Strategy.
This role will be ultimately responsible for the architecture of all solutions implemented by the IAM Access Governance team. With a focus on providing technical leadership, this role will mentor other Identity architects and project team members on executing the Identity strategy and transform the way the team works to improve solution quality and delivery times.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead technical projects and teams to Architect, design, develop, and implement identity management solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ and Microsoft Identity Manager
Evangelize IAM Access Governance to Identity team, peer teams, IT Leadership, and divisional application owners
Evolve current IAM Access Governance Strategy to align with enterprise changing needs
Consult on security policies, standards, and guidelines, working to make security requirements clear and accessible and develop reference architectures and reference implementation patterns
Drive elimination of technical debt within the existing Identity platform as part of a continuous modernization and optimization approach
Ensure successful transition of project deliverables to support / maintenance /operations teams
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING
5+ years’ experience implementing enterprise IAM solutions or related /similar environments
5+ years’ experience developing technical strategies, architectures, roadmaps and leading the teams
A strong background in technical design / architecture
Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills
5+ years’ experience implementing software within a structured Quality based SLC process
Experience working in an FDA-regulated business (e.g. validated software related to medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences products) is preferred
Strong ability to know your audience and structure communication and presentations to Abbott application owners, and senior leadership on aspects of complex technical scenarios while maintaining appropriate functional and technical level for the audience
Experience working in matrix global organization with strategic sourcing partners where success requires broad orchestration of resources and services
Support business and technology strategy and planning by leveraging knowledge in both technical and business areas
Assess issues/problem encountered and recommend an appropriate solution
Able to articulate vision and strategy for complex and innovative technical undertakings
Able to deal with ambiguity and make expert judgments in situations where no precedent exists
Desired Additional Skills:
Experience with Identity solutions such as SailPoint IdentityIQ, Microsoft FIM/MIM, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, ADLDS, etc.
Design and Architecture of IAM in the cloud
Experience working on Agile development teams. Experience replacing traditional implementation approaches with Agile methodology an extreme+
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/ Engineering or related field
Advanced degree/ relevant professional certification preferred
Minimum of 5+ years developing technical strategies, architectures, roadmaps and leading teams
Supervisory / Management Responsibilities
There will be direct/indirect supervisory responsibility
