The525 Relentless team is seeking an experienced Propulsion Systems IntegrationAnalyst. The Propulsion Integration Analyst is responsible for propulsionsystem analysis and evaluating the propulsion system component performancerequired to meet program and customer defined requirements. This position maybe located at Bell Helicopter’s headquarters facility in Ft. Worth, TX or theBell Flight Research Center in Arlington, TX.
Engine installation and integration
Installed engine performance using thermodynamic cycle models andcoordination with other teams such as Flight Technology
Engine inlet and exhaust designs and analysis as well as theirimpacts on air vehicle performance across the required flight conditions
Propulsion sub-system component and air vehicle level thermalanalyses to meet systems level requirements
Bleed air and low pressure pneumatic system performance analysis
Avionics cooling and oil cooling analysis
Work closely with IPTs to review evolving designs and provideinput into design configuration decisions
Perform system level and aircraft level analysis to validateperformance requirements.
Working with Avionics and Engine Suppliers to develop effectiveon-wing Engine Power Available assessment algorithms
Support of engine and propulsion system flight test activities
Write test plans and reports. Support flight tests with real-timeTM monitoring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering isrequired. Master’s Degree is preferred. Major in Mechanical Engineeringor Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
Experience at all levels will beconsidered with a minimum of 5 yearsexperiencespecificto propulsion systems analysis
Experience with real-time TMmonitoring
Experience with the FAA, FARs, and Civil Certification arepreferred
Experience with Installed Turbine Engine performance predictionsusing Thermodynamic Cycle Decks; desired: familiarity with NPSS
Experience with engine inlet and exhaust designs and supportanalysis
Desired: familiarity with CFDanalyses on turbo-machinery using FLUENT, or equivalent
Desired: familiarity with thermalanalysis using SINDA, or equivalent
Desired: familiarity with systemlevel analysis using AMESIM, or equivalent
Must have the ability tocommunicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate and lead activities,prioritize tasks, and report status
Must be able to build and maintaineffective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, aswell as horizontal integrations across the other teams
Familiarity with aerospace designand verification processes to include; requirements development andverification, preliminary and detailed design, MRP, Planning, Manufacturing,Procurement and Maintenance processes is preferred
PC proficiency in Microsoft Word,Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
Must have the ability to workeffectively within a team
Good interpersonal andorganizational skills are required
Candidates must be eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance
