WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Educational Coordinator works alongside with the Education Manager, EP to coordinate, organize, and implement the Case Training, Immersion, and local Speaker programs to include, but not limited to, all business functions related to these Abbott training programs under the Professional Education Department.
Develop communication plans for events and works with program chair and faculty to bring program agendas to fruition.
Develops on-site and off-site plans working closely with physicians, field employees and the Professional Education Manager.
Investigates, coordinates, arranges and contracts for hotel accommodations, facilities, audio visual services, transportation, food and beverage, communications, and additional services required to support programs.
Directs field employees to help facilitate internal Abbott employee education. In collaboration with multiple stakeholders (Education, Marketing, R&D, Sales, etc.), develops, implements and facilitates new employee and continuing education programs for Abbott employees.
Program Management & Logistics: Collaborates with Professional Education management to create program agendas, materials, communications, and supplies that ensure that the training objectives are successfully met. This requires that proposals, budget management, project management and logistics are effectively managed for all participants and faculty.
Organizes and facilitates program planning meetings to ensure that all parties involved are properly informed and contributing, as necessary, to assure program success.
Manages all aspects of registration for courses including invitations, travel and hotel accommodations, and rooming lists.
Attends events as needed to ensure that details associated with participants, lodging, equipment needs, guest speakers and agendas, supplies and documentation are attended to and that problems are corrected.
Evaluates the effectiveness of programs by soliciting participant feedback and formulating recommendations to determine successes and areas of improvement, which will be used to improve subsequent program effectiveness.
Ensure all appropriate documentation related to the program (facility, faculty, participants) have been obtained and retained in compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Curriculum, Compliance & Documentation: Archives all documents and records pertaining to program, vendors, and faculty (e.g., contracts, agreements, correspondence, invoices, documentation) by maintaining secure files to ensure program/project information remains confidential and is available for future reference within training department systems. Ensures documentation for participant training records are completed correctly, filed securely and confidentially in training department systems, and available for future reference in compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Collaborates with electrophysiologist, Abbott field personnel and professional education management to ensure training curricula are current. Enhance curricula when required, including modification and routing of files through Abbott channel branding, OEC and regulatory bodies.
Become verse in Abbott EP products and be able to intelligently communicate to physician customers on the commercialization of Abbott EP products.
15-20% travel for various program attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 2 years related experience.
High attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills.
Basic understanding of Monday.com or equivalent project management software.
MS Excel experience preferred.
