Oracle Sr. Manager, Program Management in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania

Manage people for product development programs or projects focused on the delivery of a product through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers.

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate specifications. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of project management, product design or related experience needed.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

The role:

We are seeking a veteran technical leader with a background managing Development and/or Infrastructure teams and programs to fill a CEGBU Product Development, Senior Manager of Program Management role. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of functional technical management and program management experience. Though this isn’t a technical role per se, strong technical knowledge and experience managing and leading teams, projects and/or programs to deliver web based or cloud solutions is required.

Requirements:

  • Technical depth of experience to understand software development, cloud infrastructure, and QA delivery challenges and a desire to help improve processes and shape solutions not just manage dates and deliverables

  • Diverse agile, project and/or program management experience in a fast-paced, software delivery focused environment

  • Experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives and producing senior leadership reporting

  • Demonstrated servant manager approach with a "help get the job done attitude" to assist direct reports, peers, and project team members to smooth out process issues and overcome delivery obstacles

  • Established technical sensibilities to help align priorities within and across initiatives to find and expedite solutions when faced with resource, process or technical constraints

  • Confident team player who views himself/herself as a committed and involved participant in teams' undertakings and has a proven track record of team building and process improvement successes

  • Strong communicator who is able to confidently facilitate meetings, craft effective presentations and publish timely and effective summaries of events

  • Pluses:

o Familiarity with AWS or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

o Experience using Primavera project management tools

o Construction industry knowledge

o Experience with Jira and Confluence
