Northrop Grumman Principal/ Pricing Analyst in Buffalo, New York

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Pricing Analyst (Level 2) or a Principal Pricing Analyst (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals and support the Navigation, Targeting & Survivability (NT&S) Division. This position is based in Buffalo, NY; however due to COVID-19 the candidate will start working virtually until we return to the office. Come join our team! Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare proposal submittals by:
Understand customer requirements through solicitations, RFPs and other requests
Collaborate and coordinate with proposal teams to develop the proposal strategy by interfacing with other internal functions: Business Management, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Capture Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Logistics
Ensure compliance with RFP, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and internal policies/processes
Ensure schedule adherence and work multiple proposals with competing deadlines
Generate estimating instructions and facilitate cost proposal kick-off events
Support proposal reviews to brief pricing, cost issues and risks to management
Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from internal customers
Generate detailed pricing using the estimates, pricing models, and proposal structure, in alignment with the pricing strategy
Develop and prepare pricing outputs including cost volumes in accordance with solicitation requirements
Research and analyze historical data
Interact with other functional areas to troubleshoot issues in support of proposal requirements and deadlines
Develop and understand cost models to support proposal efforts and overall pricing strategy
Support risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process
Thoroughly review proposal pricing of other analysts to assure compliance and quality
Support fact finding, audits, customer negotiations, and certifications while ensuring TINA compliance during all aspects of the proposal process
Support Pricing and Estimating team initiatives and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for a Pricing Analyst Level 2:
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Mathematics or related area
3+ Years of combined experience in Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business or 1+ years with a Master's Degree
Understanding of procurement policies, procedures and regulations
Ability to work well in a team environment
Strong organizational skills, as well as very good oral and written communications
Ability to work with minimal supervision and apply sound judgement to problem solving
Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Pricing Analyst Level 3:
Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Mathematics or related area
6+ Years of combined experience in Pricing/Finance/Contracts/Business or 4+ years with a Master's Degree
In-depth understanding of procurement policies, procedures and regulations
Ability to prioritize effectively and complete work timely in a deadline driven environment
Proactive, eager to learn and challenge yourself
Excellent communication and coordination skills
A team player that possesses excellent problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to analyze and develop solutions to complex issues
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools/applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Aerospace/defense industry experience
Working understanding of TCoPD (Truthful Cost or Pricing Data) and FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) requirements
Working understanding of Pricing & Estimating processes
Experience using Pro-Pricer and/or CostPoint
Risk Analysis and S-curve technique experience
