Aerojet Rocketdyne has an immediate opening for an Associate, Production Scheduling to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas . Under close supervision and following established policies and procedures, performs professional assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices and techniques. We are currently seeking an Associate, Production Scheduling that will support Production Control.

Candidates must be willing and available to work other shifts as needed to meet production schedules.

This current opening may be filled at this level as posted or at one level higher.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)

50% - Tracks components to support manufacturing schedule using internal ERP system (Oracle) to maintain program schedules. When product is held up in Receiving Inspection, works with the team members to get these materials released to the manufacturing floor. Reports issues to supervision for further escalation of the issues.

20% - Tracks finished parts through the assembly and shop areas for final shipment to our customer. If schedule is impacted, works with the team to develop a plan to get back on track. Works any issue necessary to make weekly shipment of product, report delays in a timely manner.

20% - Identifies and communicates concerns and issues potential to scheduling impacts. Works with the team to develop a solution to minimize the impact. Relays information to team members and management.

10% - Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requires a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of SAP ERP system, Oracle MRP system, and Microsoft Office. Must be comfortable in a constantly changing environment and able to shift plans and priorities daily to meet mid and long-term objectives. Strong communication, organization, logistical and multi-tasking skills. Strong decision making skills. Erroneous decisions will have a negative impact on the business as it pertains to product deliveries.

Additional Requirements:

  • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct activities for the organization.

  • Interest in the statusing and tracking hardware.

  • Familiarity/experience with inventory management principles

  • Excellent communication, Interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with cross-function/cross-site teams.

May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit or stand and maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 pounds; may require occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
