Summer Intern – Americas Financial Planning and Analysis – Carmel, IN
As an Allegion Americas FP&A Intern, you will make a meaningful contribution and a direct impact on the Americas finance function. You will gain valuable experience in forecasting, and long-range planning cycles. You will gain exposure to tools like Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Power BI. You will interact directly with senior business and finance leadership. You will learn how to use key financial data and metrics to explain actual results and project and communicate future expectations. What You Will Do:
Provide critical review, feedback, and analysis of monthly and quarterly financial results to finance and senior business leadership
Partner with business segment finance leaders to build and consolidate financials for quarterly forecasts, the Long Range Plan (LRP), and the Annual Operating Plan
Work with FP&A team to consolidate, refine, and conduct scenario analysis on Allegion's LRP, including preparation of review materials for the Executive and Finance Leadership Team
Collaborate with channel finance to understand and analyze revenue forecasting and trended results
Partner with functional finance leaders to consolidate monthly SG&A reporting and analysis and build the quarterly forecast
Work with the controllership team to understand operational performance and how it impacts Americas financials (P&L, Working Capital, Cash Flow)
Work with the digital team to develop tools and processes to help Americas finance teams eliminate manual work and provide higher levels of analysis and insight to our internal customers
Gain a better understanding of business use cases for digital applications – Excel, Power BI, Hyperion, etc.
Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
What You Need to Succeed:
Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Accounting and/or Finance
Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative, e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI is a plus but not required
General understanding of US GAAP
Ability to work in both a team and individual setting.
Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly.
Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques
A desire to learn, grow and develop
