ManpowerGroup General Maintenance Technician in Charleston, West Virginia

GENERAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Manpower is now looking for a General Maintenance Technician for a local Real Estate Office. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, this position is charged with the primary responsibility for maintenance, repairs, and updates of the general maintenance of a building or buildings. This position requires skills in electrical, electronic, plumbing, and carpentry, general maintenance, good planning and follows up on job assignments. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Candidates for employment must pass pre-employment drug testing.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To operate and conduct daily activities and relationships in accordance with the employee handbook.

  2. To accept personal responsibility for effective on the job relationships, including but not limited to coworkers, client's and vendors.

  3. To carry out duties to the benefit of our clients.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Make regular building inspections to check for the quality control, looking for lights out, broken fixtures, bad carpet seams, floor repairs and broken dispensers in all common areas.

  2. Work with HVAC and or system technicians when plumbing or electrical problems arise to help quickly remedy the problem.

  3. Make repairs to any problem found or called in including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

  4. Order light bulb inventory and keep proper stock amounts in building or buildings.

  5. Establish and update planned maintenance based on the manufacturer's recommendations on all systems.

  6. Promote quality control and tenant comfort. Remember we are service oriented. Provide prompt and courteous service to our customers (tenants).

  7. Accountable for all General Maintenance Department tools/equipment. Responsible for sign out of tools/equipment.

  8. Organize, maintain, and ensure that the general maintenance shop areas and/or vehicle(s) are well stocked, tools/equipment is in place, and that the general condition of the area or vehicle is neat and clean.

  9. Perform tenant requested maintenance as assigned by the Tenant Service Coordinator. Log in Service Requests to the Tenant Service Coordinator and/or the service request software after each request is completed, compile and complete necessary data in neat and timely manner.

  10. Handle other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Operations Manager.
