Job Description:

Position Summary

Supports End to End Technology for middleware programs and projects. Core technologies include Jboss, Java and Mulesoft. Partners with Product Owner, Business Stakeholders, Impacted System Owners and Solution Implementation Teams. Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Rapid design and implementation of complex solutions

• Provide leadership, technical direction, and oversight to a team delivering technology solutions as individual contributor

• Coach and mentor a team of 5-7 developers to design and develop scalable and resilient systems

• Modernize and transform existing applications according to enterprise defined technology stack and standards.

• Develop solutions and processes for delivering features based on their knowledge of design/architectural patterns and Agile/DevOps practices.

• Build the Solution Right - this means:

  • Design, develop and be accountable for feature delivery.

  • Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.

  • Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.

  • Act as a liaison for production activities/issues.

  • Investigate and recommend best practices and process improvements.

Required Skills/ Experience

• Multi-year experience in working with Agile teams and be able to lead all the agile routines and meetings

• 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE

• 5+ years of experience working in one of the following J2EE app server: JBOSS EAP 7.1

• 5+ years of experience in working with Spring. Expert in Spring frameworks listed above

• Experience in designing and building micro services and messaging solutions

• Recent Java application development experience as the role is equally split between leading the team and hands-on programming

• Payment application experience

Desired Skills/ Experience

• Financial Services industry experience

• Experience with Mulesoft

• Digital wallets knowledge would be plus
