Hyatt Global Sales Director – DC Market in CHICAGO, Illinois

Description:

The Global Sales Director is an enthusiastic individual with extensive experience in group/MICE sales with knowledge of a variety of markets but an emphasis in the DC Association Market. The individual must be in the greater DC area. The Global Sales Director is a career sales professional and a top producer within the Hyatt Sales Force who has a proven track record within sales and customer engagement. The Director will have several measurable goals including account specific revenue targets, customer touchpoints/engagement, future group revenue, new account development, lead conversion/lead volume and overall HSF group production contribution. Responsibilities include account management, prospecting new business opportunities and overseeing a shared sales coordinator. General computer knowledge is required including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Communication and organization skills are extremely important for this role. This position is remote with a home-based office.

Position Responsibilities

  • Achievement of annual/semi-annual revenue goals

  • Weekly customer engagement (phone, email, or in-person)

  • Tradeshow participation and business travel

  • In-person (office) and virtual (webinar) presentations

  • Solicit & qualify new accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, outside sales calls and market analytic tools

  • Ability to partner with HSF colleagues to facilitate account management (transient business) and project work

  • Provide support for hotel sales teams for full service and select service

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values

Qualifications:

Experience

  • Five or more years of hotel sales experience

  • Previous experience as Senior Sales Manager level and above

Education

  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree BA or BS

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job

  • General computer knowledge is required including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

  • Prefer experience with Hyatt systems including Envision and Cognos
