Duties: Oversees specialized credit risk analysis, risk rating systems, and the introduction of new methodologies and statistical techniques to support credit risk management activities. Focuses on building effective credit risk models and capabilities, directly impacting the amount of capital demand for the enterprise, any regulatory fines, and the potential limitation of business strategy. Provides advanced analytical expertise to support the development, validation, monitoring, reporting, and documentation of stress testing, IFRS-9 models, CECL models, and credit risk strategies. Mentors and teaches new techniques to all analysts within the group. Works on enhancements that help the SAS infrastructures operate more efficiently and effectively, translating business needs into business and data requirements and SAS capabilities. Delivers high business impact and supports the required improvements and capabilities for the total Bank credit portfolio at the enterprise level that impacts the Bank’s capital demand and regulatory compliance. Coordinates activities across a multitude of stakeholders both within and across Operating Groups, Risk, Finance, Economics Technology and Operations (“T&O”), and vendors. Develops, monitors, implements, and reports credit portfolios, including probability of default, loss given default, exposure at default, and expected credit loss. Oversees specialized analysis and develops creative statistical solutions to support Basel Accord deliverables, Stress Testing models, IFRS-9 models, and CECL models. Creates and recommends alternatives and enhancements for the credit risk stress testing infrastructure, IFRS9, and CECL projects specifically that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the SAS tool. Provides analytical expertise on larger scale projects with the biggest strategic implications.

Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, or Business and two (2) years of experience developing statistical models in a financial services environment. Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): two (2) years of experience processing Big Data with SQL, R, Python, SAS, Basel Capital Accord, CECL, IFRS-9, and Stress testing; two (2) years of experience analyzing quantitative and theoretical information to resolve technical issues; two (2) years of experience programming and developing statistical models; and, two (2) years of experience providing strategic advice and guidance to lines of business (“LOBs”) and executives for high level decisions.
