Job Description:

The Portfolio Management Officer (“PMO”) willberesponsible for underwriting new credit requests and monitoring credit exposure for existing Bank of America Business Capital (“BABC”) clients.  BABC providesleveraged, asset-based loans to clients in the Global Commercial Bank and Global Corporate and Investment Bank, partnering closely with the relationship management teams and product partners, including the ABL capital markets.  Facilitiesrange from $10million to over $3billion in size and are typically collateralized with a first lien on all assets.

The PMOwill work closely with thePortfolio Manager, senior team members, and product partnersto serve the credit needs of clients. Typical duties includeanalyzing financial performance,completing portfolio monitoring responsibilities,andpreparing recommendations for approval. The PMO willalsohave the opportunity to collaborate with thedeal teamon preparation of term sheets and client presentations,as well asreview and negotiateloan documentation. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to directly interface with clients, financial sponsors,and financial intermediaries.

The PMO will be expected to monitorfinancial trends to proactively identifymacroissues and opportunities withinindustries. Theyshoulddeliverclear and conciseanalysis to facilitate decision making, while also ensuring adherence to BofA’s internal credit policies, guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.  Over time, theywould havethe opportunity to transition into asenior role, managing a portfolio of BABC clients.

This position is posted as a more senior position but is flexible to be filled as a lower level position if the posted qualifications are met by a strong lower level applicant.

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly organized, proactive, and efficient with the ability to work in a high volume role

  • Strong credit, financial analysis and modeling skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of a formal bank credit training program

  • 2-3 years experience in Asset Based Lending, Commercial or Corporate credit or relationship management, leveraged finance, loan syndications, or restructuring/workout

  • Bachelor’s degree,withsome Accounting andFinancefocus preferred
