In this role, you will be a leader in an R&D group focused on digital product and technology development. You need a customer-first mindset, passion for innovation, and proven ability to deliver digital solutions in the regulated medical device environment. You must have strong interpersonal skills, work well in a cross functional team environment, and have a wide range of technical capabilities (including software development experience) to deliver on the next generation of connected, digital surgery solutions. You will be responsible for setting strategic technical direction, effectively communicating across all levels, influencing in a matrixed environment, and leading a team through product development of a digital solution to help improve the surgical care pathway for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build solutions and shape strategic direction to drive digital transformation of the surgical care pathway

  • Build and prioritize use cases and high-level product requirements to realize delivery of the target product profile through to downstream commercialization

  • Drive product roadmap and product portfolio by participating in creation of long-term visions for products, estimating the organizational investment, and evaluating the benefits of product initiatives.

  • Lead requirements development, solution design, and feature development. Partner with marketing, clinical, and Industrial Design / Human Factors for user acceptance testing.

  • Manage the product roadmap and backlog

  • Work with multiple internal organizations and outside partnerships at a system level to ensure alignment on prioritization and seamless implementation of a connected solution

  • Accountable for effective and manufacturable solutions while working within a timeframe and budget

  • Collaborate with regulatory, quality, compliance, and clinical during the product development lifecycle

  • This role will include direct management of technical talent



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field

  • Minimum 10 years of product development experience, with minimum of 5 in the digital space.

  • Experience in regulated environment

  • Experience leading and developing technical talent

  • Experience with cloud computing, IOMT, SaMD, hospital systems, data analysis, data engineering, or application development

  • Strong analytical, communication, prioritization, and negotiating skills


  • Advanced degree is preferred

  • Medical device development preferred

  • Experience with software development
