Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems - Aerospace Structures Division - Clearfield, UT has a current opening for a Composites Structural Engineer (Must have current and active secret clearance to be considered)

Role description & Responsibilities:
Highly motivated design engineer with experience designing composite structures and assemblies, metallic structures and assemblies, and mixed composite/metallic assemblies for military and/or commercial aircraft.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the design of laminates, sandwich structures, and bonded and bolted assemblies, design of metallic machined details and sheet metal details. Using of GD&T to design details and assemblies.
Skills should include relationally linked modeling, establishing datum schemes for assemblies, and performing tolerance stackup analysis.
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a team
Excellent communication skills are required
Ability to make sound engineering decisions
Ability to multi-task
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
5+ years engineering experience in an aerospace or related industry
Experience Preferred :
Definition of layups and ply patterns with Fibersim within NX
Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing facility
Extensive GD&T experience for both details and assemblies
Proficient in NX and Teamcenter
8+ years design engineering experience in aerospace
