Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

This Quality Technical Manager position plays a highly visible, key leadership role in ensuring the successful execution of production in Columbus. This includes responsibility as a member of the site operations leadership team and the functional Quality processes. This position also offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally and broaden capabilities, while proudly leading the Quality Engineering team.

This position will be responsible for:

  • You lead fifteen to twenty team members focused on Quality and flawless Production Execution

  • You are responsible for delivery performance, implementation of lean manufacturing principles and driving a culture of operational excellence and process rigor, developing a multi-talented Team through identification of skills gaps and action plans to fill those gaps

  • You support the execution of UPPAP, and QN reduction initiatives both internally and at our suppliers

  • You lead and direct personnel in day to day operations towards a strategic objective

  • You build effective teams and developing direct reports

  • You have a command of lean principles and a have demonstrated ability to implement and sustain them

  • You drive a culture of Safety and Quality in a production environment

To be successful in this position, you should have the following experience:

  • 5 years of leadership/supervisory experience in manufacturing

  • Drive and focus for results

  • Process Management experience

  • Customer Focus

  • Strong communications skills

  • Managerial courage

  • Fully developed professional able to plan to meet objectives and make decisions

  • Forward thinking

  • Prior experience in aerospace, automotive, or electronic industries

  • computer-literate

  • prior experience working with SAP or alternate ERP system

  • Proficient and expert knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action methodologies

  • Skilled in Process Flow Diagramming, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Control Plans for Advanced Product Quality Planning

  • Competent in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), PPAP, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Engineering Bachelor's Degree

  • US Citizen due to program requirements

  • 2 years+ leadership/supervisory experience in manufacturing

  • 2+years of manufacturing or quality engineering experience
