Laboratory Corporation of America Laboratory Customer Service Supervisor (STAT Services) in Cranford, New Jersey

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supervise the operations of the STAT Lab Customer Service team

  • Generate reports to monitor testing volume and accuracy

  • Report any performance, compliance or staffing related issues

  • Overseeing the training of new hires and the development of current employees

  • Monitor the scheduling of work to ensure adequate coverage

  • Enter all relevant patient and test information into the debase

  • Enter lab results into the database in an accurate and timely manner

  • Monitor all requisitions to ensure they are processed in a timely manner

  • Contact client via fax and phone to deliver STAT results

  • Deliver urgent lab results to necessary parties as required

  • Perform quality assurance audits to ensure accuracy

  • Contact vendors to provide updates when needed

  • Collect and maintain all necessary documentation

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree; Bachelors is preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of healthcare/laboratory experience

  • Prior experience supervisory; preferably in a call center environment

  • Familiarity with medical terminology

  • Experience with quality assurance is a plus

  • Strong data entry skills

  • Excellent communication skills; both written and oral

  • Comfortably working under minimal supervision

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
