Description:

  • setting up and maintaining the break room and conference rooms

  • emptying trash cans and recycle bins in all areas of the plant

  • cleaning break rooms, conference rooms, and office areas in the plant

  • stripping and waxing floors in break room and office areas

  • vacuuming office carpets and sweeping and moping tiled floors daily

  • cleaning restrooms and locker rooms in the plant

  • assisting in other duties as assigned

Other Compensation Information:

A $.75 per hour night differential is paid to associates regularly scheduled to work any hours between midnight and 3:00 a.m.

Weekend differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

Year End Bonus:

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

  • minimum of 18 years of age

  • ability to lift 40 pounds frequently

  • ability to understand, interpret and follow both written and verbal instructions

  • ability to operate floor machines; both hand and walk behind scrubbers

  • ability to perform steady and productive work for extended periods of time

  • must have excellent safety record and safe work habits

  • must be willing to assist team members in all areas

  • good human relations skills (be a team player)

  • must show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work

  • must have basic reading and math skills

  • willing to work flexible days and hours

  • team work mandatory
