Test Developer - Testing Specialist

Job Description:

Please note: This is not an application/software testing or application/software development role.

This role will specifically support test development focusing on Regulatory Reporting and corporate accounting. Therefore, experience with accounting, regulatory reporting, and complex traded products is critical to success.

Own and execute the end to end design of new and/or modified compliance test plans, scripts and associated documentation in collaboration with the Test Owner and Test Development Manager, ensuring compliance with enterprise testing standards and policies.

  • Candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness.

  • Often acts independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with procurement and use of data/evidence/systems to be used for testing.

  • Partner with Test Development Manager and Test Owners to interact with Line of Business and technology partners to facilitate test design.

  • Incorporate automation during test development using effective and efficient technologies, where possible

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience, masters preferred

  • Prior experience with regulatory reporting, including but not limited to 2052a, FRY 14Q/M, FRY 9C, 12, 15, FFIEC 031/041, 009, 101, 102

  • 3+ years’ experience with an internal audit, testing, risk management, process improvement, compliance, or front line control role preferably in an accounting or regulatory reporting capacity

  • Familiarity with Bank of America securities transaction processing, account/customer level data warehousing, and/or General Ledger Accounting practices

  • Demonstrated project management skills; Ability to handle multiple competing priorities with demonstrated success at achieving SLA (Service Level Agreements)

  • Proficiency with MS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel to perform data analytics, pivot tables, lookups and data analytics

  • Strong partnership and influencing skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills

  • Self-starter, organized, versatile, capable of performing work independently with minimal direction

  • Ability to think independently, solve problems, and develop solutions

  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with Senior management

  • Strong team player
