The North Face: Supply Planning Analyst

Supply Planning Analyst will be responsible for procuring supply to meet service and inventory objectives including ensuring on time deliveries from vendors and to customers. You will work in ETL (extract, transform, load) tools to also help to create and maintain databases and dashboards, work on projects that utilize coding for data analysis with an emphasis on development and maintenance of data workflows to help improve general supply chain reporting and processes.

Key partners will include Global Sourcing, Logistics, Demand Planning, Retail Buyers, Product Teams and Customer Service. Additionally, you will root cause supply delays and work to resolve issues proactively.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Recommend & execute product purchases based upon demand inputs & other crucial supply planning criteria (current inventory levels, vendor & supplier capacity, minimums, & buy readiness). Issue purchase reqs to global sourcing teams.

  • Track conversion of purchase requisitions to vendor purchase orders.

  • Continually monitor demand needs and supply timing to identify issues and opportunities. Adjust supply timing as needed to improve service to customers and / or meet inventory objectives.

  • Closely partner with cross functional stakeholders to ensure delivery of current month financial objectives.

  • Partner cross-functionally to manage line list changes and ensure changes are processed in a timely manner.

  • Participate in monthly S&OP process. Highlight issues and opportunities to drive improved supply chain operational performance and achieve business objectives.

  • Participate in longer term view of supply availability taking into consideration demand needs by product type and any potential capacity or material constraints.

  • Participate in key projects to evolve supply chain capabilities.

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

  • Perform data analysis using tools such as tableau, alteryx, SEQL coding, and Business Objects.

  • Create tableau dashboards to drive greater business insight and action.

Skills for Success:

Years of Related Professional Experience: 1-2 years

Educational/ Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university (preferred concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management)

  • APICS or Six-Sigma Certifications are a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to understand, assess, & problem solve by leveraging technical and analytical skills

  • Ability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment

  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively

  • Advanced Excel Skills (pivot tables, macros)

  • Understanding of reporting tools (Cognos/Brio)

  • Experience in project planning and implementation

  • Self-starter with excellent follow through

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • SAP experience a plus

  • Alteryx, Tableau, or other data visualization tool and coding experience a plus

  • Business Objects experience a plus

  • Strong data analytic skills

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements:

  • Up to 5% travel expected

Salary Range:

$51,840.00 USD - $77,760.00 USD annually

Annual Incentive Eligibility :

This position is eligible to participate in VF's Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its' Corporate and business level financial objectives.

Long Term Incentive Eligibility :

This position is not eligible for long term incentive.
