Our Certified Pharmacy Techniciansassist hospital staff pharmacists in the preparation and dispensation of medications. You receive and fulfil medication orders from hospital staff for patients undergoing inpatient and outpatient care. * You will set up, package and label medication doses. * Fill and dispense routine orders for patient care areas. * You will refill and maintain inventory and routine maintenance of automated dispensing machines. * You will demonstrate competency in parenteral admixture dose calculations and preparation, including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition.
Parkland Medical Center, an 86-bed acute care hospital, is located in the heart of Derry, New Hampshire. We are a Level III Trauma Center that offers a wide range of services such as heart and vascular care, robotics surgery, interventional spine and pain care, and behavioral health services. Through partnerships with The Lahey Hospital & Medical Center and the New England Heart Institute (NEHI), we bring specialized medicine by highly skilled physicians, innovative approaches to treatment and advanced technology to our communities.
REQUIREMENTS * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred * New Hampshire State License as a Pharmacy Technician * Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB); or obtain certification within 6 months of hire * Previous inpatient pharmacy experience preferred HOURS * Full Time / 32 hours per week * Mixed Shifts with weekend and holiday requirements o Shifts required to work: 7am-3:30pm / 8am-4:30pm / 10:30am-7pm (weekdays) o Rotating weekends: Saturday and Sunday 7:30am-5:30pm
