Cardinal Health Director of Business Operations - OptiFreight in Dublin, Ohio

The Director of Business Operations leads the Billing, Data Management & Governance and Emerging Solutions teams, managing 29 in total including three Managers, two Supervisors and one Consultant. This Director is accountable for developing and bringing the best out of a global leadership team while building a proactive, high energy, innovative team with a sense of urgency that is a positive driving force.

Accountabilities in this role

  • Ensure timely and accurate customer billings
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment to carriers
  • Build a proactive, responsive and problem-solving culture and processes to service customers billing inquiries
  • Developing and executing billing strategy that delivers on customer and business needs
  • Work closely with Product Managers to execute strategies to improve customer experience and deliver business results
  • Identify synergies across the teams to improve customer intimacy, ease of doing business and quality.
  • Work closely with FedEx and other carrier partners on Operational Execution initiatives and issues
  • Improve operating efficiencies and cost to serve
  • Work effectively across both domestic and international teams
  • Build relationship with Enterprise Data teams to share best practices and leverage capabilities
  • Ensure we can receive and process customer and supplier data files and make them available to be consumed by operational and analytical processes
  • Define and socialize Emerging Solutions accountabilities and strategy
  • Determine triggers to identify when processes being supported by Emerging Solutions can be incorporated into

Qualifications

  • Degree required; MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years related experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Back Office Operational Experience
  • Customer Facing Experience
  • Pricing and or Billing and/or Data Management Experience preferred
  • Logistics Experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Leader and Driver of Change
