Caterpillar Earthmoving products enjoy market leadership due to meeting and exceeding the high level of quality and performance our customers expect. Procurement of critical components is a key driver in maintaining these expectations and we have an excellent opportunity for you to make an impact in this area when you join our Earthmoving Supply Management team as a Supply Network Specialist IV primarily supporting Drivetrain, Undercarriage, Service Parts and Vertical Center team. Additionally, you will perform advanced analytical tasks in support of category management and Construction Industries.
Specifically, in this role you can expect to:
Analyze and maintain assigned processes that produce output excellence including procurement and logistics data (ex. Purchase orders, quotations, sourcing strategies, supplier data, QCLDM (Quality Cost Logistics Development Management) and engineered value chains.
Build expertise for the assigned process and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Demonstrate your advanced project management skills in the collection, compilation, assimilation, communication and maintenance of information.
Serve as the Construction Industries (CI) Approver, ensuring the parts get to the correct buyer for each business unit in the segment.
To be successful in this role, you must bring (Basic Qualifications) :
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience (4 years) relevant to this role.
At least 3 years of experience in purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, and/or engineering.
Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative work style.
Analytical, problem solving, and project leadership skills.
Intermediate to advanced skill in use of computer software programs including purchasing systems.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
