The Center for Advanced Clinical Solutions (CACS) at Optum Health was launched in May 2021 and works to develop cutting edge clinical tools that enable more proactive, evidence-based care for our customers and reduce administrative burden for care teams. As a Center we partner with groups across UnitedHealth Group to ensure clinicians have access to the latest and best solutions to deliver high-quality care tailored to a patient’s unique circumstances.
The CACS Center Manager will play a critical leadership role in ensuring the Center is successful in its mission to deliver clinical solutions that deliver quadruple aim objectives and build trust with users. They will be responsible for making the Center works smartly, with overall responsibility for ongoing operations and procedures that enable our team to achieve its ambitious objectives. As a new organization they will have the opportunity to design and implement best practice business operations, oversee operations of the group and establish policies that shape our team’s vision and culture. By setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth the Center Manager leads and encourages maximum performance and growth of our team.
The CACS Center Manager is a key member of our leadership team reporting to the Center Director and helping shape our strategy and driving sustainable growth. We are looking for a hands-on operational leader with strong executive presence who can quickly gain credibility and influence across the business and our internal partners. They will be highly visible across our team and the markets we operate in.
Participates in the business organization’s strategic and operational governance processes as a member of the senior leadership team
Responsible for planning, staffing and budgeting of all operational areas to ensure appropriate execution on business strategy while achieving business objectives in an efficient and effective manner
Help grow and lead teams across multiple locations and over various functions including but not limited to;
Technical programme management
Sales, partnerships and deployment
Strategy (working with our business partners)
With leadership team help set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and ensure we meet performance expectations
Educate and build relationships across UHG, developing numerous touch points supporting CACS mission
Take a lead role in expansion activities including building partnerships and sales with health system partners
Look for methods to improve quality, efficiency and productivity. Implement performance monitoring using dashboards and key data metrics providing corrective action plans to improve performance when needed
Establish policies that promote team culture and vision, working with Human Capital to implement hiring, onboarding and performance management systems
Supervise relationships with partners and vendors
Lead management meetings with ensuring focus is directed to both short and long term priorities
Ensure customer/client expectations are met relative to operational performance (i.e., service level agreements, performance guarantees or government mandates)

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field
10+ years of progressive experience in senior operational and management leadership roles in large, complex organizations
A broad understanding of the complexities of healthcare delivery systems and experience in health technology deployments
Deep understanding of business functions including finance, HR, product development
Demonstrated strategic planning and business development ability
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and public speaking skills, both practiced and impromptu
Access to an extensive network of senior leaders in this industry
Master’s Degree or Master’s in Business Administration
Experience in high growth scale of health technologies
Understanding of ML/AI and its applications to healthcare
Experience with Value based care business models / shift to ACO's

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $169,500 to $322,500.
