Lockheed Martin MILES/TES SME Technical Trainer in Fort Jackson, South Carolina

Description: The Army TADSS Maintenance Program (ATMP) is a contract for maintenance, sustainment, operations, and support of Army Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS), Live-Fire Ranges, and Instrumentation Systems. The ATMP portfolio includes 250,000 live, virtual, constructive, and gaming TADSS located at 422 sites worldwide.

The primary customer is PEO STRI in Orlando, FL. PEO STRI’s published vision for ATMP is integrated, one-stop, world-wide maintenance and sustainment for Army Program of Record (POR) TADSS.

The Technical Training Associate planner will plan, develop, and implements technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel. Technical training may include standard, repeatable modules, customized and new product modules. Obtains information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs; prepares lesson plans and training materials; designs product demonstrations; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions, product demonstrations, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. May administer tests. Continuously revises lesson plans to ensure course material reflect product features, meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date. May include military trainers.

The Technical Trainer Associate shall have in-depth knowledge of Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) series of devices such as WITS, TVS, CV TESS and IWS2. The Technical Trainer Associate will be responsible for the install and removal of MILES equipment on a variety of Army vehicles to include, HMWVV, Stryker, Tanks and Bradley’s. This position will require the instruction of classroom and hands on application of MILES to vehicles. The Contractor Shall maintain up-to-date knowledge based on current army doctrine and standards.

The position, known as the Train-the-Trainer instructor will provide instruction and/or technical assistance, shall be provided on-site or at the contact team mission location. Travel is required. Will be responsible for the packing, shipping and inventory for all outgoing and incoming MILES as per the CONOPS at Ft. Jackson. Will be responsible for the CWRA process in AWARE for all Contact Team travel and will attend weekly MILES IPT. Will gather Contact Teams exercise reports and submit to TFA for review.

The candidate should be a MILES/TES Subject Matter Expert (SME). This role includes travel for contact team missions. These missions shall assist units with technical assistance per Government/Original equipment Manufacturer (OEM) furnished technical manuals. The technical assistance shall include facilitating set-up, instruction and training on operation, installation, de-installation, function checks, troubleshooting, and replace/repair of MILES/TES equipment. Missions may require odd hours (day, night, and weekend) and operations in austere environments under limited visibility and inclement weather conditions. Members of these teams shall be able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds, wear appropriate personal protective equipment and be able to teach material of a technical nature.

US citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

Candidate must be able to demonstrate or meet the requirements above with past experience with MILES devices.

Experience training unit personnel on basic MILES equipment

Strong communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of all functions

Experience developing and executing strategy.

Strong process discipline with focus on efficiency and optimization.

Must be a US citizen.

Desired Skills:

Install or removal of MILES equipment

Experience with Army equipment pertaining to MILES and vehicles

Staff Sergeant or above leadership skills

Experience with the After Action Reviews

Warfighter/ATMP experience desired
