Fiserv Gov Consultant (Project Team Lead) in Indianapolis, Indiana

Note: This position needs to be located at the State Offices in Indianapolis, IN

What does an exceptional Government Consultant do?

As a Government Consultant (Project Team Lead) you will be providing Operational Verification and Validation (OV&V) services to the State of Indiana for the Eligibility Modernization Project which was established for Public Assistance Programs. Most work is performed at the client site located in the State Government Center in Indianapolis.

As a Government Consultant - Project Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading the OV&V Operations Support Team to the successful, on-time delivery of the work products and deliverables associated with this project while meeting client requirements, delivering on budget and meeting all client expectations detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW).

You can look forward to:

  • Ensuring completion on a Monthly, Quarterly and Bi-Annual basis the completion of Case Review Reports and OV&V Reports

  • Leading and managing tasks, assigning tasks to staff, monitoring work to ensure quality

  • Tracking all deliverables as required

  • Assisting the OV&V Project Manager in managing the project scope

  • Participating in client meetings and presenting project status reports

  • Identifying issues and suggesting recommendations

  • Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies

  • Applying project management methodologies, processes and templates consistently

  • Providing vendor and contract management activities as required for the project

  • Focusing on customer experience and service for internal and external customers

  • Developing and maintaining client relationships with the project

  • Identifying opportunities to improve the processes and quality of work products

  • Implementing action plans to address areas of concern/weakness

  • Measuring and evaluating performance of staff regularly; reviewing goals and assessing performance for both direct and dotted line staff

  • Adhering to PMBOK methodologies

  • Supporting new sales development (e.g., proposal writing, pink/red team review, oral presentations, etc.)

  • Providing development opportunities for staff; coach and mentor staff

  • Monitoring employees’ adherence to internal processes (e.g., expense management, project management, communication, training, time management, etc.)

  • Monthly Case Review Reports

  • Quarterly Case Review Reports

  • Bi-Annual Case Review Report

  • OV&V Monthly Status Report

  • OV&V Quarterly Project Assessment Report

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare and/or government/public sector professional services

  • Knowledge of State social services programs (SNAP, TANF, Medicaid and Health Coverage)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior team leadership / supervisory experience

  • Knowledge of Indiana eligibility programs, policies, and systems

  • Experience in Indiana case eligibility determination

  • State or federal government experience

  • Knowledge and the ability to research State and Federal Policy
