Our location in Irving, TX currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer within Core Diagnostics.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for understanding interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop the integrated set of standards, sub-standards, and assemblies needed to design and manage PLM system over their life cycle. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a life-cycle balanced system of systems and system/subsystems solution(s) which satisfies customer/operational needs and public/regulatory acceptability. This includes a multitude of systems requirements that range from design, development, test methodologies, validations, risk analysis, documentation, and process improvements.
Leverage industry best PLM practices for developing PLM software solutions for Abbott.
Understand business goals and objectives to identify what change initiatives are needed for the business to be more efficient and productive.
Translate business requirements into specific PLM solutions, applications or process designs for projects.
Support project management activities to control scope, cost, schedule, and quality.
Communicate project processes, progress by interacting with the business to support expectations and adoption.
Analyzes business requirements, user needs, and system designs; coordinates PLM system evaluation activities.
Leads cross-functional investigation teams to determine root cause of PLM system level issues and propose possible solutions; communicate progress and conclusions to senior management and stakeholders.
Leads code and workflow design reviews and testing to assess performance and reliability against design specifications and determines system interactions.
Serves as independent reviewer to determine system level impacts of proposed code or workflow design changes.
Provides input into the development of manufacturing processes and controls.
Promotes collaboration with various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology) through knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business, Quality).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering or closely related discipline with five or more years progressive work experience.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Systems Engineering) or related Engineering/Scientific Field.
7 + years of experience implementing moderately complex Teamcenter solutions.
Experience using programming languages and tools (JSON, XML, HTML5, JAVA, C++, JSCRIPT, SQL, Teamcenter ITK)
Demonstrated ability to lead small teams and utilize data to make decisions and influence stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven Knowledge of System Engineering principles or concepts.
Demonstrated ability to apply principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
Knowledge of external regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics. Experience in a highly regulated environment
Experience executing and creating integration test plans for complex systems.
Prior medical device experience: electro-mechanical, chemical, or biochemical technologies as they pertain to the design, integration, evaluation, and commercialization of diagnostic systems.
Experience implementing various product and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing)
