The Commercial Credit Officer (CCO) is a highly skilled resource who provides expert level advisory guidance and debt capital solutions for commercial banking companies. Products include lines of credit, term loans, real estate loans, and syndicated loans. In addition, the CCO manages all of the ancillary credit exposure to clients including exposure related to Investment Banking and Treasury Management. This opening reports to the Commercial Credit Executive and will be dedicated to Middle Market/Business Banking clients and prospects located in NJ. Middle Market companies are clients or prospects with revenue ranging from $50MM to $2BN+. Middle Market Companies are clients or prospects with revenues ranging from $10MM-$50M

Responsibilities:

· Develop a deep understanding of clients and their industries

· Design, customize and execute debt capital solutions

· Actively monitor portfolio performance to ensure timely and accurate risk assessment

· Collaborate with the Relationship Manager, Treasury Solutions Officer and Investment Banker to deliver integrated solutions and a seamless client experience/execution

· Negotiate loan documentation with clients to provide balanced solutions

· Jointly approve credits with Risk Management     

Required Skills:

· BS/BA degree desired and 10+ years of solid commercial banking experience

· Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management

· Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring

· Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally

· Industry knowledge across multiple sectors
