Job Description

The Supply Chain Center of Excellence & Transition Management Office (CoE) will drive standard business process, continuous improvement, analytics and manage the transition and stand-up of the new organization. The Analyst will report into the Associate Director for Supply Chain Analytics and will be a key member of analytics team that will drive data and analytics in support of business operations, deliver key business insights, and continuously improve the analytical capabilities for cross-functional stakeholders across Organon Manufacturing and Supply (OMS) organization.

The incumbent will be responsible to be a data engineer and build dashboards, reports, models, and simulations to provide value-driven business outcomes and support the overall business strategy. Additionally, the Analyst will look for opportunities to experiment and leverage new analytical techniques and tools that drive a culture of innovation at Organon and within the OMS organization. Position Responsibilities:

  • Support realization of value and sustaining activities that seek to embed analytical tools within business processes and establish standardized work.

  • Leverage new and existing tools/methodologies and data sources to support analytical projects and prepare data to support the development of information models to prove or disprove project hypotheses.

  • Creates actionable insights and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain metrics, while using data science concepts to engineer data and statistical models, algorithms, and toolsets to support and continuously improve analytics aligned with business priorities

  • Focus on the overall user experience to data and analytics consumption that is design orientated and enables users to quickly and effectively derive insights.

  • Promote a culture of analytics as a differentiator and competitive advantage – an environment that places high value on using information in real-time to make fact-based decisions.

  • Partner and collaborate across Process, People, Data, & Infrastructure functional areas

  • Remain current with industry best practices and trends, identifying and piloting experimental opportunities that advance the use of analytics at Organon.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Supply Chain, or Data Science

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Experience in data analytics

  • To be able to work with large datasets, use BI tools (Excel, PowerBI, etc) engineer data, and create analytical and/or data science models, reports, and visualizations

  • Strong data skills that involve working with imperfect structured and unstructured datasets from a variety of enterprise systems (including SAP), as well as be able to understand how to structure data effectively using a variety of tools (excel, SQL, R, BI tools, etc) to meet analytical objectives.

  • Experience using programming languages such as R or Python to manipulate data and develop data and statistical models and simulations

  • Experience in using data science and statistical concepts for analytical analysis

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations (SCOR model)

  • Knowledge and experience with AI and Machine Learning

  • User Experience (UX) and/or Design concepts

  • Knowledge and/or experience with PowerBI and Microsoft 365 Apps (Excel, PowerPivot, PowerApps, Power Automate, etc)
