Job Summary: Responsible for procuring and maintaining an adequate level of parts inventory to support the maintenance of all machinery within the facility. Maintains proper inventory levels, monitors inventory turns and adjusts min/max quantities as required.

Job Duties:

  • Track balances of all items including issues, reserves and returns.

  • Works with outside vendors, purchasing, Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, Maintenance Team Lead, and Manager to ensure critical spare parts are available when needed.

  • Trains and directs appropriate personnel in proper inventory procedures.

  • Responsible for ensuing the pick up and delivery of materials, supplies and equipment.

  • Works safely at ALL times and complies with safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices.

  • Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed by Team Lead, Manager other authorized person.

  • Must perform as a team member with the willingness and attitude to work with others to resolve problems. Must also maintain good working relationship with others within the organization.

  • Keep work area, equipment, machines, storage areas, etc. clean and orderly at all times.

  • Communicate daily with department staff from other shifts, Team Lead, and Manager regarding status of critical parts orders.

  • Offer suggestions relative to improving work process, procedures, productivity, job safety, or work environment.

  • Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed by immediate Team Lead, Manager, or other designated person.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with proper inventory practices, parts acquisition experience and knowledge of inventory control.

  • Organized and have the ability to maintain a central stores inventory system.

  • Computer literacy, good communication & interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to work in an unsupervised environment.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Some understanding of inventory items in relation to maintenance work orders within a computerized maintenance management system would be a plus.

  • Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

  • Position is 1st shift in Menominee, MI
