Job Description:

Cerner Corporation is hiring a Part-Time Physical Therapist for our on-site health center for a large, local employer in Lemont, IL! This health center has a proactive, educative approach where patients are motivated to adopt healthy lifestyles and practices.

As a Physical Therapist, you will provide comprehensive medical services in a team-based clinical setting focused on physical techniques and therapies to treat and rehabilitate members suffering from disorders and/or injuries of the back or musculoskeletal system. In this role, you will conduct exams and develop plans within the scope of professional license to evaluate and treat injuries and chronic conditions, prepare and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients, and educate and counsel members about preventive care, ergonomics, medical issues and use of prescribed medical treatments. You will also collaborate with the member, medical practitioners and appropriate others to plan, implement and assess the intervention program, evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modification to orthotics, and follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personnel protective equipment.

This position is expected to work 20 hours per week

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:

  • 1-year direct patient care work experience

  • 7 years additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education, including:

  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field

  • Certified Physical Therapist - IL

  • Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Physical Therapy or related field, or equivalent, relevant work experience

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification


  • Willing to work on a flexible schedule as needed

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations

  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned

  • Must currently reside in, or near, Lemont, IL
