Northrop Grumman Principal/Contract Administrator in Linthicum, Maryland

Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced and motivated professional for a Contract Administrator or Principal Contract Administrator with experiences in contract administration, or related fields, to include business management, supply chain management, business development, project management, or procurement.

The successful applicant will become part of the Mission Systems sector, which is an internationally recognized leader in cybersecurity technologies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepares bids; processes specifications, progress, and other reports; advises management of contractual rights and obligations; compiles and analyzes data; and maintains historical information.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

*Contract Administrator: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years directly related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 1 year directly related experience in Contracts Administration, business management, finance, accounting, International Trade Management or related fields

  • Principal Contract Administrator: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years directly related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years directly related experience in Contracts Administration, business management, finance, accounting, International Trade Management or related fields

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and, innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiences

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time

  • No clearance required to start, ability to obtain Secret level clearance within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:

*Active Secret clearance

  • Government Contracting experience

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skill set

  • SAP experience
