UPS Line Maintenance Expeditor in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Title: Line Maintenance Expeditor

Department: Asset Management Group - AMDC 740 Grade Lane, Louisville, KY 40213

Days: Monday – Friday Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm Hours per Week: 40

Work Environment:

Dynamic office environment consisting of Administrative, Business Professional (BP) and Management personnel. Dress is business casual.

Job Summary:

Work with Vendors to Expedite Aircraft Parts back from Repair in order to support Line Maintenance. Coordinate with Critical Procurement and other internal departments to facilitate parts request for immediate need. The goal is to help facilitate the return of the UPS asset back to ASAP.

Job Description:

Review Vendor quotes to ensure price and turnaround time are adequate to meet the current emergent need. Communicate with Repair Vendors on a regular basis regarding component status and action plans for components that have exceeded their expected completion date. Interact with Gateways where Unserviceable Parts were removed and monitor return to CPW in order to coordinate the Repair. Process part numbers/serial number changes. Understand and work with next higher assemblies as well as issuing internal piece parts required to complete work scope. Maintains weekly Critical Parts Report and notifies Vendors of immediate needs and works to identify urgent return of Component.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to communicate with other internal departments (Traffic Management).

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge or previous experience in Aircraft Materials and the Component Repair cycle.

  • Knowledge of UPS computer systems such as MIPS, ARMS, and IMPACTS, UPS Tracking and eTT.

  • Understanding time in transit.

  • Knowledge or previous experience in Aircraft Materials and the Component Repair cycle.

  • Understand how to follow COMAT via AMAP tool and basic understanding of Aircraft Routing.

Interpersonal Skills:

Ability to work in a regulated environment with minimal supervision. Must have great attention to detail and prioritization skills. Must be able to clearly communicate with internal and external customers. Ability to interact and work with Administrative, Business Professionals and Management on a daily basis. Able to make quick decisions and adjust plans under operational pressure.
