Lockheed Martin Receiving Inspector in Manassas, Virginia

Description: Perform receiving inspection of incoming material to the requirements of the Purchase Order, drawing, pertinent specifications and inspection procedures. Review of supplier documentation for accuracy and completion, including First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation will be required. Log all inspection results in the Common Operating System (COS). Document any defects in COS and P2P. Coordinate with Supply Chain Quality Engineering on generation and closure of defect notifications. Candidate must be able to lift 40 lbs and move material weighing up to 600 lbs with a pallet jack.

Basic Qualifications:


Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, part lists and other technical data

Ability to use basic mechanical inspection tools – calipers, micrometer, height stand/indicator

Above-average Computer Skills

Ability to multi-task and establish priority in fast-paced environment

Good oral and written communication skills

Adherence to process and systemic requirements

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs

-This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of Product Specs, i.e. IPC, Mil-Std, etc.

Working knowledge of SAP/P2P

Working knowledge of EPDM

2-year Technical Degree
