Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an Electronic Space Assembly Technician 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the Ground Manufacturing Lab Assembly team. This position is located in Manhattan Beach, California.
In this role, the selected candidate will be trained and certified within the first weeks of employment. The selected candidate has a passion for electronics and assembly operations. The selected candidate will become familiar with shop routines, and the use of hand and power tools.This this position the individual will be expected to:
Work from drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications and procedures, quality procedures and instructions, operations work sheets and company, military and customer specifications procedures.
May require working with adhesives, chemical cleaners, coating materials and other commonly used chemicals used in manufacturing.
May disassemble, modify, rework and reassemble assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications.
Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
Adhere to all applicable environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives.
Notify supervision of any/all malfunctions, defects and damages of equipment, material and product.
Check work for completeness and accuracy.
Perform Production Accountability duties associates with the processing, verification, and quality auditing and inspection of assemblies, parts and tooling for which the individual has been delegated production accountability.
Keep work area clean and orderly.
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.

High School diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of additional education and/or related electronic experience.
Intermediate with navigating Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing setting.
1+ year of experience working with electronics.
Experience in interpreting shop math, blueprints, electronic data, specifications, manuals, operations work sheets, and verbal instructions.
