Job Description:

3M is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for the Consumer Business Group - Stationery and Office Supplies Division located in Maplewood, MN. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary:

The person hired for the position of Supply Chain Analyst will primarily be responsible for providing supply chain planning leadership for one or more major product lines, customers, geographies, etc. within the Consumer Business Group.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Deliver improved service and inventory dollar investment

  • Create inventory turns improvements and logistics cost reduction

  • Analyze material flow parameters such as safety stock, order quantity, lot size, make cycle frequency, and replenishment interval

  • Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes such as DMPT, Peoplesoft, DSP, SAP, etc.

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory

  • Coordinate activities to ensure successful events and promotions

  • Assist Manufacturing with Capacity Planning

Basic Qualifications

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of four (4) years of combined experience in Logistics and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government, or military environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or Business Administration from an accredited university

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of combined experience in MRP, material planning and scheduling, Manufacturing capacity planning, inventory control, and/or supply chain management

  • Experience with SAP desired

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience leading and/or participating on cross functional teams

  • APICS certification

  • Six Sigma Green Belt project experience and/or certification

  • Experience in Lean Scheduling or Lean Manufacturing

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Experience working on international teams

Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 10%

Relocation: Is authorized
