Service Consultant - Customer Care Center

Our team of Customer Care Consultants handle more than 15,000 calls a day. They are available to assist customers Monday-Friday 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. with general inquiries and 24/7 for emergencies. We offer flexible work shifts, as well as, in person and work from home opportunities. Some weekends and holiday work will be required, including storm restoration efforts. We value our customers and partner with them to deliver solutions to meet their specific energy needs.

Our Service Consultants are empowered to be creative and innovative to achieve customer and operational excellence.

On a typical day, Consultants help customers with requests to start, stop or transfer their service, assist with payment options, offer personalized energy related products and services and report emergency situations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Discussing rate options, billing inquiries, and energy usage

  • Establishing connects, transfer, and disconnection of electric service

  • Promoting Georgia Power’s products and services that meet our customer’s needs

  • Educating customers on self-serve options – including collections, online bill review, and payments

  • Diagnosing trouble with electric service and reporting dangerous or hazardous situations
