Laboratory Corporation of America Cash Applications Supervisor in McLeansville, North Carolina
Supervises day to day functions of Specimen Review team; having direct supervisory responsibility of 15-20 non-exempt employees
Evaluates current and new processes with Specimen Review for process improvement
Assists in creation of Standard Operation Procedures and/or Standard of Work
Accountable for performance of department and employees, including WFO, Quality and Production standards
Creates and reviews inventory reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for management
Ensures inventories are maintained within processing SLAs and TATs; when out of bounds, creates and executes recovery plan
Trains and orients employees to enhance their performance, development, and workflow.
Evaluates employee performance and conducts bi-annual employee reviews. Responsible for administering Performance Improvement plans when employee performance is sub-par; and responsible for administering disciplinary actions when policy violations occur.
Holds weekly and monthly departmental meetings with staff; attends meetings as requested by management
Reports directly to Cash Applications Manager of Specimen Review
License/Certification/ Education : Normally requires an Associates Degree w/3-5 years of Supervisory experience in related field.
3 years Current or Prior Supervisory and/or Leadership experience
Accounts Receivable knowledge, including DSO, Bad Debt, etc.
Medical Billing knowledge/experience, including experience reading Explanation of Benefits (EOBs)
Knowledge and/or experience with Workforce Optimization (WFO), plus
Experience coaching and developing a team to Production and Quality goals
Proficiency in MS Office Suites - using MS Excel to create and modify spreadsheets and MS Word to create and modify documents; MS Access, a plus
LabCorp Billing System (LCBS) experience, a plus
Ability to recognize trends of payer and credit balances
Ability to review and analyze Accounts Receivables information and reports
Ability and expertise to trouble shoot and research issues for Management
Superb oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm
