Thrivent Financial Marketing Strategist in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The highest level individual contributor role that is responsible for planning and leading the development of organizational digital marketing strategies through website customer experience that align with key enterprise/department/program goals. The Marketing Strategist brings extensive marketing/program development expertise and relies on high degree of business acumen to determine what data and analytics are required to drive key business decisions, recommendations and to continuously improve marketing results. This position provides transformational leadership to large and/or complex work streams, projects and initiatives that engage cross-organizational team members. This role may be asked to lead corporate initiatives and to engage with people from all levels of the organization.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Leads large and complex marketing digital transformation initiatives that drive increased engagement through Thrivent’s web properties. Leverages extensive experience to drive strategic development that aligns with key corporate strategies and goals; manages the work of cross-organizational sub-teams/work streams.
Works with research and analytics teams to determine website opportunities, model consumer behaviors, gather insights/feedback and track results. Leverage data and analytics to drive improvements to marketing programs/initiatives that result in greater website engagement and conversion rates.
Continuously seeks ways to leverage technology to drive more effective and impactful web design strategies and tactics helping to drive a 1:1 customer experience through personalization.
Develop trusted relationships with key internal/external stakeholders to collaborate and influence across the organization contributing to the development of digital experiences that attract target segments, drive growth and increase awareness.
Lead stakeholder engagements that derive insight and provide recommendations that translates business requirements into a human centered web experience
Develop compelling storytelling presentations that simplify complex findings and concepts while enabling stakeholders to drive action and decision making.
Uses vertical marketing expertise/experience to contribute to larger marketing initiatives and projects. May be charged with leading cross- sub-teams and work streams and providing work direction in support of larger marketing initiatives. Leverages experience to drive development that aligns with key corporate strategies and initiatives.
Required Job Qualifications
7-10 years of marketing or related experience.
College degree in marketing or related field; masters a plus but not required.
Experience in a specialized area of marketing (direct marketing, e-marketing, communications, analytics, brand positioning, social networking media, etc.) and/or project/program management.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrates strong project management and collaboration skills
Applies a development mindset that uses creativity and marketing expertise to develop new, more effective and more efficient marketing approaches.
Other Critical Factors
Experience developing strategies that involve customer data platform (CDP), A/B testing, personalization and web analytics
Ability to effectively persuade and influence business, marketing, IT/technology and product stakeholders
Ability to work through ambiguous situations to understand, define, and meet stakeholder needs
