Title: Data Analytics Software Engineer-Remote - 78584

Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Data Analytics Software Engineer for John Deere's Digital Analytics organization in Moline, IL you will be responsible for Adobe Analytics implementation and as well as other Adobe Experience Cloud products and services such as Target, Audience Manager, and Adobe Launch. This engineer will translate business requirements into custom analytics implementations using a combination of custom JavaScript, data layer objects, processing rules, SAINT classification, report suite configuration and applicable integrations with other in-house, Adobe, and 3rd party data systems.

  • Develop and implement solutions using Adobe Analytics platform, data collection, and integrations

  • Work with the analytics team to understand, analyze tagging strategy, and implement business requirements into custom Adobe Analytics deployment

  • Perform implementation of tagging strategy and 3rd party tagging requests

  • Analyze performance impact, dependencies and pre-requisites of tagging implementations on various web applications, regional websites , and related properties

  • Create and maintain implementation documents for Data Layers – both Event Driven Data Layers and Classic W3C Data Layers, custom JavaScript , etc.

  • Troubleshooting, testing , and validating analytics implementations and through various testing tools to ensure high analytics data quality

  • Ensure consistency and use of best practices across all implementations

  • Manage implementation on web application with different codebases, various technologies

What Skills You Need

  • 2+ years of Adobe Analytics (or similar tool) implementation experience using Adobe Launch or DTM on customer facing multi-national/global web applications

  • Must have 2+ years of working knowledge and an understanding of JavaScript, Angular, jQuery, Node.js, DOM manipulation, web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3

  • Must be able to demonstrate technical capabilities within a tag management solution like Adobe Launch, DTM, or Google Tag Manager

  • Experience in quality checking analytics and 3rd party tags using developer tools such as Fiddler, Charles , or Chrome Dev tools

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with multi-site Adobe Visitor ID service implementation

  • Experience in at least 2 Analytics implementations (Tag management, pixel deployment, customer journeys, A/B testing)

  • Experience in Data mapping and quality audit strategies

  • Audience Manager knowledge and architecture experience

  • Experience in Web Services and API development


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Web Analytics, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or related Web Analytics Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)
