The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe Training Manager will lead a diverse team consisting of both full-time trainers and contract trainers from multiple organizations. The team is made up of credentialed healthcare professionals, and technical trainers, some with professional training backgrounds. The primary objective is to maintain a full bench of appropriately skilled trainers, develop talent and improve efficacy, and support trainer work-life balance while working toward organizational priorities of new product and technology enhancements. As a Training Delivery Manager, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Collaborating with team leaders and operations to ensure personnel assignments, metrics development and reporting, and strategic planning are consistent with organizational strategies

  • Mining for new opportunities by engaging in pre-sales and post-implementation activities across HIS, observing product development roadmaps, and forecasting skills and staffing needs

  • Delivering actionable feedback by analyzing training effectiveness through observation, post training reports, client surveys and conversations, and participating in project team meetings

  • Implementing career pathing by developing projects, subject champions, mentoring and other industry supported best practices

  • Providing direct supervision to personnel which include goal setting, performance management, conflict resolution, expense and travel management

  • Participating in relevant corporate programs/initiatives

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and twelve (12) years of experience in Health Information Training

  • Five (5) years of knowledge and experience with the following:

  • Training techniques for instructor led and blended learning, in classroom and remote training

  • Commercial training organization needs, such as trainer development, tool kits and resources, utilization standards, promotion and needs assessment/scoping

  • Current theories and practices in adult learning

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • In depth knowledge of 3M HIS solutions and the implementation process, as well as the external market (competitors, trends, etc.)

  • Credentials or experience with in-patient and out-patient coding and CDI processes, payer markets, natural language understanding, scribing

  • Experience or familiarity with claims data, grouping methodologies and other related fundamentals

  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills

  • Six sigma, analytics, organizational behavior and other management skills

Travel: Occasional travel may be required

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Location: Remote
