VF Workwear is looking for a talented eCommerce Merchandiser that takes initiative. As a member of the eCommerce and Digital Marketing team at VF Workwear, the eCommerce Merchandiser is responsible for helping to ensure the best possible and highest quality digital execution.

The eCommerce Merchandiser is responsible for driving the RedKap.com and Bulwark.com product assortment and delivering the online sales goals. He/she works cross-functionally to drive overall online business results which include both financial metrics and online customer specific metrics. The eCommerce Merchandiser is part of the eCommerce team but works closely with the Merchandising team, Marketing team, Operations team, eCommerce Customer Service team, on product performance and online go to market strategies in line with business plans. This role will primarily be responsible for merchandising Direct to Consumer eCommerce sites, but will also provide expertise and assistance for our Marketplace and Retail eCommerce sites. This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining a good digital customer experience, setting up products, merchandising products, and working with multiple teams to execute business goals.

The eCommerce Merchandiser’s function is both detail-intensive and wide in scope, requiring among other capabilities, the capacity to specify the functionality and organization of digital updates and then work with Creative, Merchandising, Marketing, IT, Legal, Customer Service and/or Third-Party Vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Review web page design, content, and functionality for clarity, consistency, and ease of use.

  • Create and execute online merchandising plan in close cooperation with the Merchandising and eCommerce team; including product category pages, homepage recommendations, cross-sells and up-sells, email merchandising (newsletters) and promotions. Deliver input for the development of Merchandise strategies for the coming season(s), based on eCommerce analysis.

  • Manage web analytics/KPI’s: Product Conversion, Category conversion, Average order value, Abandonment cart rates and Sales additional metrics.

  • Recommend eCommerce merchandise assortments by category and continually evaluate, analyze, and adjust assortments based on performance and sales trends. Identify opportunities to increase conversion and average order value.

  • Manage website taxonomy/navigation for categories and build collections of product to drive sales in close cooperation with the Merchandising team

  • Analyze, forecast and interpret (online) market and consumer trends

  • Build and coordinate the monthly eCommerce merchandise plan to ensure plan accurately reflects what is needed to achieve the overall sales goals for eCommerce.

  • Analyze sales trends and determine adjustments, consider upcoming promotions.

  • Work with the Marketing team to develop eCommerce promotional strategies. Analyze promotional effectiveness and make future recommendations.

  • Support/work with the Marketing team on the preparation of product- and campaign photography.

  • Work with eCommerce Coordinator in order to optimize SEO; provide recommendations on future promotions based on past performance , A/B testing and industry insight

  • Provide recommendations to eCommerce Coordinator Manage to enhance on-site search, facets and comparing attributes for all products to ensure relevant results

  • Review and make suggestions to the eCommerce, Merchandising and Marketing team in order to create improvements based on consumer feedback via ratings and reviews and real time session.

  • Work with Salsify system administrators to set up product and ensure proper syndication to retail channels

  • Execute digital merchandising strategies across owned .com, Amazon, and other eCommerce retail channels.

  • Partner with the business units to understand their merchandising, branding and marketing objectives, ensuring that all projects effectively support the strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or related field

  • Highly proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud

  • Experience using online merchandising tools/ eCommerce platform

  • Apparel knowledge/experience required

  • 3+ years in Digital/eCommerce Merchandising experience

  • Strong knowledge of best practices in cross-team processes

  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills

  • Must be organized and systematic

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction

  • Strong communication, organization, time management and analytical/problem solving skills are required along with a high degree of flexibility and creativity.

  • Result-driven achiever with exemplary planning and organizational skills, high degree of detail orientation.

  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and at the same time, ability to work closely together with several cross-functional partners.

  • Experience in setting and managing to sales and margin goals, as well as the ability to interpret web analytics and optimizing merchandising plan to drive sales
