Textron Airborne Solutions provides training opportunities for military customers. The Standardization and Evaluations Officer (Stan/Eval) at ATAC is a pilot position that oversees all pilot related standards of operations and evaluations programs, and scheduling for both ground and airborne evaluations under the purview of ATAC. Will liaise with regional Directors of Operations and coordinate evaluations as needed. The ATAC Stan/Eval Officer will report to the Director of Flight Operations (DFO) at ATAC and coordinate with all Regional Directors of Operations (DO) and the Chief Pilot (CP). ATAC Stan/Eval will maintain a tactical focus and perform the operational role in evaluating ATAC’s ability to accomplish mission tasking.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Required to be an operationally active pilot within ATAC.

  • Update and edit the Flight Operations Manual (FOM), Pilot Read File (PRF), In-flight guide (IFG), aircraft manuals and pilot checklists

  • Establish and maintain a system to track check rides and inform the CP when pilots are in the zone for completion

  • Inform and assist pilots in preparation for their check rides

  • Maintain tracker of pilot FAA Flight Reviews, ATAC Annual Flight Evaluation, and Ground Evaluations (as applicable)

  • Establish and maintain a trend program

  • Scope will include trend analysis of all evaluations

  • When trends are noted, recommend corrective action and assign an Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR)

  • Report trends and status to the VP Navy during the Pilot Review Board (PRB)

  • Conduct supplementary evaluations as directed by the VP Navy

  • Maintain pilot evaluation folders (digitally)

  • Tracks and Publishes monthly check ride status to DOs and Directors

  • Establish and maintain Functional Check Flight (FCF) program

  • Compile data for semi-annual Pilot Review Boards

  • Maintain Operations SharePpoint page

  • Maintain Dropbox account for population of iPad electronic kneeboard



  • Previous formal Pilot Training Experience

  • 10 years of prior Military Fighter Experience

  • Previous Supervisory/Management experience

  • BS/BA Degree required

  • Previous Standardization and Evaluation experience desired
