Our fast-growing In Vivo Tumor Biology group in Lake County, IL has an opening for a motivated tumor biologist who is dedicated to the discovery and development of innovative therapeutics, both small molecule and biologics.

Position will be hired based on level of education and experience.

  • Bachelors or Masters in physiology, pharmacology, molecular biology or any related field of biology with typically 5-7+ (BS) or 2-5+ (MS) years of experience

  • Strong pharmacological expertise with design and execution of studies utilizing xenograft models (e.g. cell line derived, patient derived) in immunocompromised mice

  • Experience with drug formulation and administration via PO, IP, SC and IV routes

  • Experience new xenograft models and explore disease mechanisms and mechanisms of drug action by performing supporting assays (e.g. 3D assays, tissue culture, FACS, Immunoassays, etc) is ideal

  • Familiarity with data analysis, presentation, management and statistical software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Study Director, Prism) is necessary

  • Understanding of in vivo optical imaging approaches and familiarity with instrumentation (e.g. IVIS instrument) is helpful

  • Knowledge of PK/PD relationships and in vitro tissue culture is also an advantage

  • Our scientists interact with in vitro biology, translational/biomarkers and medicinal chemistry teams to advance oncology agents through the R&D pipeline, so excellent interpersonal skills and the willingness to work with a multidisciplinary team of scientists is essential
