Job Description

Summary of Position

The Ethics and Compliance Operations Center of Excellence (ECO Operations COE) strives for operational excellence in the execution of Company’s ethics and compliance program. ECO Operations COE has responsibilities for key compliance operations including, but not limited to, the Company’s Code of Conduct, compliance training, corporate compliance priorities/metrics, corporate policy administration, conflict of interest and board approval processes, management certifications, and other key initiatives in support of the Company’s compliance program. The Associate Director in ECO Operations will have responsibility for leading and directing projects and processes in support of the Company’s compliance program.

Success in this role depends on a candidate’s ability to work effectively across divisions, functions, regions, and cultures and to partner with cross-functional and divisional subject matter experts, policy owners, and key stakeholders to effectively manage the corporate policy process and raise ethics and compliance awareness. This position requires someone who can lead initiatives, make suggestions for increasing the effectiveness of changes, show willingness to learn new methods, procedures, or techniques, shift priorities in response to the demands of a situation and bounce back from setbacks.

Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The Associate Director may be assigned to lead activities below. This list is not all inclusive and the Associate Director may be required to take on additional related compliance activities.

  • Coordinate, prepare and facilitate the Policy Governance Committee meetings (sponsored by CECO) and/or the Policy and Compliance Task Force.

  • Oversee corporate policy administration including the triennial review process.

  • Partner with ECO Learning Leads and Global Learning and Development to develop and launch training modules that help promote a culture of ethics and compliance across the Company

  • Lead high priority strategic initiatives to simplify operations for continuous improvement of our Company’s compliance program.

  • Manage and respond to inquiries related to conflict of interest and the Company’s board approval process.

  • Lead and oversee the Annual Ethics & Policy Certification including conflict of interest certification.

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Advanced ability to use a broad range of methods, assumptions, frameworks, and perspectives when solving problems and making decisions

  • Planning: Demonstrated ability to organize work by prioritization, using resources optimally, establishing deadlines and ensuring on-time delivery

  • Policies, Standards, and Procedures: Knowledge of and ability to use industry and organization standards, procedures, and policies relevant to ethics and compliance

  • Ability to work with remote teams and across time zones to foster a cohesive and creative work environment


  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Experience in function such as Ethics, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Risk Management or Audit is preferred.

  • Flexibility to work across global time zones as needed is required.


  • International experience is preferred.

  • Experience with the following is preferred: managing policies and procedures, document management, training development, project management, portfolio management, change management, assessing risk, and applying risk-based recommendations

  • Experience working with systems such as document management, learning and development, content management, risk management, finance, or other control systems is preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership in implementing elements of an effective Compliance Program

  • Proven experience in driving innovation and change management.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner, collaborate, and impact decisions at all levels within and outside the Ethics and Compliance Organization and with cross-divisional, cross-functional subject matter experts.

  • Independent achiever with proven judgment skills in handling balanced, complex issues.

  • Ability to engage with divisional and functional leaders on strategy, goals, and outcomes, and make sound business decisions.

  • Advanced project planning and project management experience, including the ability to contribute to short term and long-term Ethics and Compliance priorities and strategies.
