Patient Care Tech NICU: Renders care to patients of all ages and individualizes patient care through assisting and supporting RN staff. Demonstrates professional conduct and accountability while supporting Hospital mission and philosophy and behavioral expectations. * Responsible for processing and coordinating the flow of updated patient information and unit activity. * Supports the nursing staff with routine duties and works as a team to provide quality patient care. * Reports to RN on a routine basis to relay patient needs. * Accountable for providing excellence in health care delivery, supporting dignity of all persons and responsible stewardship of resources. * Communicates clearly, concisely, and courteously in a timely manner. Demonstrates professional behavior and appearance, respect for patient privacy and confidentiality in all contacts with patients, families, hospital staff and medical staff. * Maintains unit communications to ensure that internal and external information is processed with timeliness and accuracy.

  • Current Utah Certification as a Nurse Assistant preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting is referred.
  • Works under the direction of RN to ensure quality of care and positive hospital environment.
  • Handles confidential information of a critical nature on a routine basis.
  • Transports patients to and from their rooms following established safety procedures.
