Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for a position in Orlando, FL. The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in some of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control’s highly innovative and ingenious solutions to complex technical problems facing the aerospace industry. You will leverage your technical, leadership and interpersonal skills in a structured team framework and work in a cross-functional team environment.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of five Lockheed Martin business areas. MFC is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and dozens of foreign allies. MFC is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop embedded and application software. Selected candidate will integrate algorithms into C++ applications. Candidate is expected to be proficient in C/C++. It is desirable to have experience w/ both Windows Visual Studio & Linux based C/C++ development.

Candidates filling this position will need a clearance at the level specified in “Clearance Level” or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified.

Basic Qualifications:

In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate must be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics)

C++

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines

Linux

Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA)

General Purpose Graphics Processor Unit’s (GPGPU)

Ability to present status to the customer and engineering/program management

Work on cross-discipline teams

The candidate must have excellent communication skills

Full life-cycle development

The candidate must have excellent organizational skills

Desired Skills:

It is desired that the candidate have experience with or knowledge of one or more skills below:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or Applied Mathematics
