What You Will Achieve
You will help Pfizer safeguard its robust information technology systems. You will evaluate, develop and maintain information security policies, procedures and systems. You will also test hardware, firmware and software for possible impact on systems security. You will play an important role in ensuring that information security architecture/designs, controls, processes, standards, policies and procedures are aligned with information security standards.
As a Manager, you provide guidance to operational teams for managing projects. Your planning skills will help in preparing forecasts for resource requirements, and providing areas of improvement for products, processes or services. Through your comprehensive knowledge of principles, concepts and theories of the discipline, you will also work towards advancing new concepts and methodologies. You will be able to take a leadership role to facilitate agreements between different teams.

The network manager will perform day to day support functions related to Pfizer enterprise telecommunications network. Specific responsibilities include preforming routine system maintenance functions, responding to incident tickets, identifying opportunities to better address recurring issues, and updating related support documentation. The position will focus wide area network engineering which will also encompass network security and monitoring/automation.
Lead engineers in the evaluation and definition of WAN design standards, including detailed technical design documents and maintaining network diagrams.
Lead collaboration efforts in the research, development, and deployment efforts of new WAN technologies and features.
Take responsibility for the WAN related infrastructure from requirements to implementation, including detailed design, analysis, testing, and optimization.
Develop efficient and resilient routing scenarios to ensure network availability to our edge site, between core data centers and the cloud.
Responsible for end to end project lifecycle for WAN infrastructure projects which includes but is not limited to: solutions design, vendor collaboration, development of implementation plans, development of low-level designs, and operational turnover.
Assist and collaborate with other teams in development of tools for WAN technology automation.
Provide governance for review, test, debug, and enhance existing/new capabilities and features of global WAN environment.
Coordinate and engage external vendors for solution evaluation and customization.
Collaborate with cross-organizational teams, FW engineering, Network Operations, Global Info Security, Site Services to promote efficient business processes.
Stay up to date with market updates and trends, and identify gaps in the WAN technology deployment
Provide engineering-level support for Network Operations, including maintenance windows/off-hour support.
Process incident tickets in accordance with defined support procedures
Execute defined periodic review functions to ensure services operate as designed
Install and configure network hardware and software in accordance with design standards and change management procedures
Identify inaccurate support documentation and assist with associated updates
Identify continual service improvement opportunities and assist with implementing associated changes
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity or engineering
5 years' experience working in a business/corporate environment working in a network capacity
Demonstrated experience with IP routing and the different protocols in a large IP network
Demonstrated experience in provisioning of MPLS networks and services
Demonstrated experience in secure SD-WAN design and operations.
Solid understanding of IP protocols/service/functionality (DNS, VPN/Tunnels, VLANs, NAT, Firewalls, LACP, 802.1Q trunking, VRRP), Knowledge of Layer-2 network technologies including Ethernet WAN, Knowledge of IP related protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP-4, OMP, and MPLS
Proven ability to troubleshoot/debug issues, determine causes, and drive resolution.
Experience with SD-WAN Cloud design and components
Experience in the implementation and operation of SD-WAN equipment.
Ability to create Low Level Designs (LLDs) engineering documents associated with the deployment, integration, or decommissioning of Pfizer Network equipment
Cisco certifications - CCNP or higher
Previous network management experience gained through academic research and skills gained from working experience
Must possess skills necessary to evaluate IP network components
Ability to create Low Level Designs (LLDs) engineering documents associated with the deployment, integration, or decommissioning of Pfizer Network equipment;
Manage WAN associated processes and maintain up-to-date and accurate procedural documentation through collaboration with other engineering teams.
A working knowledge of ITIL framework
