J&J Family of Companies Senior Director, Medical Devices Data Management and Digital Solutions in Piscataway, New Jersey

The Senior Director – MD SC Data Management and Digital Solutions will be responsible for shaping and executing the MD SC Data Strategy to drive improved Data Quality across the entire MD SC systems in line with business strategies, with ultimate responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely data enabling the MD SC digital transformation. This role will establish governance and delivery of MD SC Data Model deployed through MD SC digital investments. The role will be accountable for developing and implementing relevant Data Management talents, processes and technology solutions to drive adherence to the model, and to monitor performance, identify challenges and drive resolution programs to address MD SC data needs. This role is also responsible for enabling digital MD SC across various data types and sources internally and externally for business transactions and analytics. This will require the successful candidate to develop strong business partnerships across key stakeholders groups, including, but not limited to the MD SC, Commercial, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Enterprise SC Data Management, Central Finance program (CFIN), EPM, JJT, Enterprise Sourcing and other functional Data Governance leads, in order to drive a comprehensive MD SC Data Strategy that delivers against these stakeholders needs and enterprise standards. This role will lead design work with adherence to Enterprise SC Data Management framework, to implement a leading practice of MD SC data capability in line with the MD SC digital/TranSCend deployment roadmap timings. This will consist of talent/subject matter expertise development, process design and standardization, and development of a robust collaboration model across all the functions mentioned above with clearly defined roles and responsibilities and KPI’s in place to drive correct business outcomes. The role will also lead discussions with senior MD business Executives with regards to MD SC data strategy, timelines and deliverables. A key requirement of this role is to stay closely connected with advanced new perspective and industry best practices and incorporate it as part of MD SC data strategy while ensuring adherence to the enterprise standards and addressing the business needs cross functionally.

• Define, execute and update robust MD SC Data Strategy ensuring close tethering to MD SC and business needs, and Enterprise requirements and standards delivering • Clearly defined and regularly refreshed MD SC Data Strategy, with deployment roadmap and socialized with executive leadership • Leading industry practice of data management capabilities • Effective and lean Data Governance and operating model • Strong partnership with MD SC, Commercial, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Enterprise SC Data Management, Central Finance program (CFIN), EPM, JJT, Enterprise Sourcing and other functional Data Governance leads to ensure alignment of strategies, R&R and decision making process • Robust change and communications strategy to drive business awareness of data management initiatives • Lead the establishment of MD SC Data Model and governance through • Design and socialization of the Data Governance model • Clear understanding of MD SC and other relevant business functions and Enterprise needs • Business processes design and standards • Identification and development of individual data subject experts and establishing a sustainable knowledge management and training model within MD SC • Adhere and leveraging Enterprise standards, framework and tools • Ongoing monitoring of performance and shaping of future evolution as scope and scale increases • Full adoption and implementation of the MD SC data model through the MD SC digital roadmap • Aligned data migration/conversion strategy between ERP and end state platforms • Lead the Data work stream as part of the MD SC Digital Council. Shape and enable MD SC digital transformation • Collaborate with cross functional Data Governance organizations and JJT to ensure consistency of model, synchronize timeline, share best practices and drive cross functional data governance programs

Qualifications

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree is preferred. • A minimum of ten (10) years required, preferably in Supply Chain, data management or information technology. • Deep domain expertise in SC systems and data • Broad understanding of SC business operations and practices. • Previous experience in people management with a preference for experience in building a diverse organization from the ground up. • International experience in a senior finance position is preferred • Experience in data governance/master data management is required • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate at every level of the organization • Experience in developing strong internal/external business partnerships • Ability to communicate complex information in an easy to understand way • Proven track record of delivering business results/outcomes and implementing large scale systems/process/org improvements • Cross (business / function) sector experience preferred • Strong understanding of ERP, Change Management and the ability to develop leaders into Change Agents is required • Ability to manage and drive a high-performance organization, to develop future finance leaders, and to train and coach peers, teams, and change agents is required • Demonstrated ability to lead & get things done through influence versus line responsibility is required • Understanding and experience with AI, machine learning and data analytics are preferred. This position may require domestic and international travel.
