Job Summary:

The Manager, US Marketing – ENSEAL, develops, leads, and ensures execution of business plans to meet franchise needs and expectations. Responsible for the development of tactical demand driving initiatives and providing input to longer term strategic approaches. Ensures brand/product integrity by leading efforts across multiple functions, channels, and key business partners. Develops value propositions, competitive rebuttals, product differentiation promotional materials. Develops strategies and marketing programs. Additional responsibility may include new product launches; collaboration with key customers and key opinion leaders during internal and field-based customer events. Development and implementation of comprehensive marketing tactics. May be called upon to support sales force needs in taking care of account level issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures brand integrity by leading efforts across multiple functions and channels to grow the ENSEAL franchise.

  • Builds a robust access plan to expand the footprint of Advanced Energy by growing ENSEAL market share among competitive users in order to expand the Ethicon Energy portfolio for customers.

  • Management of key strategic brands that are critical to the growth of the Ethicon Energy franchise.

  • Develops innovative approaches to drive product growth, protect unit share and manage the lifecycle of ENSEAL brands.

  • Establish value propositions that meet our customer’s needs.

  • Drives demand through creation and execution of outstanding value proposition focusing on evidence and claims.

  • Implements and develops tactical plans by providing appropriate promotional materials.

  • Explores innovative ways to drive awareness and demand for our key platforms.

  • Monitors and controls budget to access promotional effectiveness; owns demand forecasting for assigned products and analyzing financials within a brand.

  • Works efficiently with external agencies and business partners within the organization.

  • Ensures completion of market analysis and monitors competitive activity.

  • Develops new concepts and products; portfolio management and prioritization of new opportunities through financial modeling and gap analysis.

  • Collaborate with Marketing organization and other internal customers to implement strategic branding programs that support key growth franchise areas.

  • Lead key agency relationships; including involvement in selection process, forming relationships with agency management and agency evaluation process and review.



  • Years professional experience - A minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience (Sales/Marketing) is required

  • Educational Degree requirement - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. MBA preferred.

  • Industry experience preferred –surgical experience is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Ability to navigate and achieve business impact across a highly-matrixed organization is required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of brand marketing, customer segmentation and marketing communications is preferred

  • Experience in customer selling and interaction is preferred

  • Strong communication, collaboration, project management and organizational influence skills is required.

  • Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on leadership, relationship development and influence management.

  • This position will be based in Cincinnati, OH and require up to 25% travel.
