Are you interesting in being part of a mission to help address the many clinical unmet that exist today in pediatric and adult spinal deformity? This is an exciting opportunity to help shape, influence, and drive US commercialization of the Complex Spine/Deformity portfolio. The role will demonstrate a clear understanding of Complex Spine unmet needs, market dynamics, technology landscape, competition, and emerging standards of care. We are seeking a marketer who is a self-starter; a very collaborative teammate, bringing positive mentality and high energy, enthusiasm, and entrepreneurial spirit; who is motivated to help lead and realize the true commercial potential the Complex Spine/Deformity portfolio offers in the US.

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • In tandem with Global Strategic Marketing, lead and deliver the US marketing strategy and commercialization of the Complex Spine Thoracolumbar and Deformity portfolio.

  • Drive Complex Spine and Deformity presence in procedural solutions, conferences, field sales organization (FSO) endeavors (examples: capital placement deals, national sales meetings, and professional education events)

  • Work closely with surgeons and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in pediatric and adult deformity to establish customer partnerships and seek market insights

  • Successfully lead and implement new product introduction (NPI) commercial launches

  • Ensure marketing collateral is available to the FSO, up-to-date, and reflects existing marketing initiatives

  • Create a strong commercial execution partnership with key Deformity societies and study groups

  • Develop complex spine portfolio market models and inform demand planning models including revenue, unit, and price forecasting

  • Develop a deep understanding of the full Complex spine portfolio and competitor landscape

  • Establish sales commercialization execution plans by working closely with the US field sales organization (FSO) including AVP’s, Regional Sales Managers (RSM), and the Surgical Innovations (SI) team


  • A minimum of a BS/BA degree is required (preferably Healthcare with a Biology and/or Science orientation, Marketing, or another business-related field). An MBA is a plus.

  • A minimum of 4 years total work experience in the commercial sector (sales/marketing or related function) required.

  • 2 years in Medical Device, Diagnostic, Life Sciences, or Pharmaceutical sectors strongly preferred

  • Experience working with healthcare professionals is preferred

  • A successful sales background is desirable

  • Strong leadership skills are meaningful to this role. The ability to collaborate with marketing coworkers, cross functional partners, external partners, and the field sales team is essential

  • Strong customer orientation is required and experience working with Surgeon customers

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Effective planning and prioritization skills

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to data detail are required to provide sound input into financial evaluations, forecasting, and segmentation exercises

  • Successful candidates must have proven ability to work autonomously to deliver business results

  • Up to 30% travel may be required for this position. Some travel may be required on weekends.
